Noordhoek's beach is a long stretch of sand linking the town of Noordhoek with the village of Kommetjie, at the foot of Chapman's Peak. South African Tourism describes horse riding there, with escorted rides offered by local stables.
Imhoff Farm's own website describes a ride of about one and a half hours that goes from the farm through the protected wetlands system of Table Mountain National Park to the beach, where riders can take a walk through the surf or a stroll along the back pan towards Chapman's Peak. Group rides are limited to three people, the minimum age is 12 and the maximum rider weight is 95 kg, according to the page we read in October 2026. South African Tourism notes that hard hats are available at stables in the area, with jeans and shoes with a heel recommended.
Booking is essential and Imhoff Farm says rides run every day, weather permitting, so it is worth confirming your booking if the weather looks poor.

Visiting safely
- Ride with a guided operator rather than alone: Imhoff Farm limits group rides to three riders and describes the walk through the surf as controlled.
- Wear jeans and shoes with a heel, and ask when you book whether a hard hat is provided, because South African Tourism says hard hats are available at stables in the area.
- Chapman's Peak Drive is a toll road with a live road status indicator on the operator's website, so check it before you set off.
