Safety and walking

The harbour, the Bay Harbour Market on market days, the Main Road village centre and the beach are all fine to walk in daylight. Vehicle break-ins are the common visitor problem: leave nothing in a parked car at the Chapman's Peak viewpoints, the beach or the trailheads. Victoria Road towards Llandudno is best driven rather than walked at dawn and dusk. Hangberg after dark and Imizamo Yethu at any time are not places to wander into unaccompanied; go with a resident or a recognised tour or not at all. At night, drive or take an Uber or Bolt between the harbour, the village and the beach rather than walking between them.
